Director David Wain shines a new light on the early days of National Lampoon in his new biopic A Futile and Stupid Gesture. And Sundance alum Reinaldo Marcus Green returns to the Festival with his feature directorial debut Monsters and Men, a racially charged story comprising three different perspectives.

Diablo Cody and Jason Reitman held a sneaky screening of Tully for our Townies and surprised us at the Cinema Café. Our offscreen conversations kept rolling with guests like Boots Riley, Bernie Su, Steven Soderbergh, Stephanie Allain, and David Wain.

Tomorrow, January 26, The Sundance Institute presents Creative Tensions: IDENTITY in partnership with IDEO. Join Effie Brown (Dear White People) and Matt Holzman (First Take) for an interactive and collective conversation, moderated by Christopher Hibma (producing director, Theatre Program). This is not your typical panel but rather a unique event where audience members get to participate and creatively share their views. Continental breakfast will be served at 11:00 a.m. at The Shop.
