In the 8th edition of the Rajasthan International Film Festival, a talk show will be organised under the title Cinema and Books - A Boundless Relationship, an initiative by Pick a Book, through which Raj Kapoor's life can be seen and understood more closely. Author of ‘Raj Kapoor - The Master at Work,’ Rahul Rawail, and film actor/director as well as the son of Raj Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, will be present in this talk show, will interact with the audience and share some interesting anecdotes. ‘Raj Kapoor - The Master at Work’ is a biography of Raj Kapoor, the showman of Indian cinema. This book has been authored by Rahul Rawail. The foreword of this book has been written by Randhir Kapoor. Rahul Rawail started his career as an assistant to Raj Kapoor in the film Bobby. It was on the sets of this film, at R.K. Studios that this writer first met Rahul Rawail. A school pal of Rishi Kapoor, with whom he shared his entire schooling period, in the same class every year, he was introduced to Raj Kapoor by Rishi Kapoor, and, when he embarked on his independent career, he was greatly influenced by Raj Kapoor. Raj Sahab's life journey as an artiste and as a film-maker has been wonderfully inspiring, and Rahul wanted to tell the world about Raj Kapoor for a long time. Rahul Rawail said that initially the idea of writing this biography was suggested by Apurva Asrani. Apurva is the writer of 'Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors'. Raj Kapoor had spent 40 years in the film industry, and apart from acting, he also directed several landmark films. He made his debut in the lead role in Nilkamal opposite Madhubala, in 1947. Soon after, he made his directorial debut in 1948, with the film Aag, in which he also acted, with Nargis as his heroine. He has also made iconic films like Barsaat, Awara, Shree 420, Mera Naam Joker. Two of his films, Boot Polish and Awara, were nominated for awards at the Cannes Film Festival. Rajasthan International Film Festival will be held from March 25 to 30 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. 16.02.2022 | Siraj Syed's blog Cat. : 'Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors' Apurva Asrani Awara Barsaat Bobby Boot Polish Cannes Film Festival Harsh Madhubala Mera Naam Joker Nilkamal Pick a Book R.K.
