(Photo by Cindy Ord/Getty Images for SCAD) The 18th annual Savannah Film Festival, presented by the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), continued its fifth day of celebrating cinematic creativity in film. Highlights today include: Actor Alfie Allen met with SCAD President Paula Wallace before receiving the Rising Star Award (photo attached), presented by SCAD students Caroline and Rebecca Huey; Krisha Fairchild attended a screening of the film "Krisha"; director Douglas Glover attended The Weather Channel's Exclusive Documentary "Dead of Winter: The Donner Party." Among the standout screenings at the festival, audiences flocked to "Truth," "Legend" and "Anomalisa." SCAD also hosted the panel discussion "Show Me the Money: How to Fund and Finance Your Film." The 18th annual festival, held in downtown Savannah, Georgia, runs from Saturday, Oct. 24, to Saturday, Oct. 31.
