The 18th annual Savannah Film Festival, presented by the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), continued its fifth day of celebrating cinematic creativity in film. Highlights today include: Actor Alfie Allen met with SCAD President Paula Wallace before receiving the Rising Star Award (photo attached), presented by SCAD students Caroline and Rebecca Huey; Krisha Fairchild attended a screening of the film "Krisha"; director Douglas Glover attended The Weather Channel's Exclusive Documentary "Dead of Winter: The Donner Party." Among the standout screenings at the festival, audiences flocked to "Truth," "Legend" and "Anomalisa." SCAD also hosted the panel discussion "Show Me the Money: How to Fund and Finance Your Film."

The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) presents the 2015 Savannah Film Festival, which celebrates cinematic creativity from award-winning professionals and emerging filmmakers. The 18th annual festival, held in downtown Savannah, Georgia, runs from Saturday, Oct. 24, to Saturday, Oct. 31.
