Special Prize to the Best Short Film
CANDY DARLING by SILVIA DEFRANCE - Belgium
"Candy Darling" is almost like a fun park ride, but for adults --- a sort of Freudian "Alice in Wonderland", but the landscape is a bit more ominous. A phantasmagoria of images that are at once unsettling, stimulating and darkly comical.

Awarded Category: Direction
LIMINAL by STEPHEN KEEP MILLS - USA
A woman. Her body. A destructive, controlling voice. These are the elements that lock INA and JOY into a seething battle of elimination. Are they lovers or just one woman fighting her inner self? Set in a stark interior, shot in 35 black and white, one thing is clear: their primitive vulnerability is as raw as their exposed psyches.

Awarded Category: Screenplay, Patricio Plaza
EL EMPLEO by SANTIAGO 'BOU' GRASSO - Argentina
A man performs his usual trip to work, immersed in a system in which the use of people as objects is part of everyday life.

Awarded Category: Integral Realization
PANTOMIME by HECTOR SUÑOL BERT - Spain
TIKO, a mime, wants to discover which is his place in this complicate puzzle that is life. The mime through his performances wants to reveal the parody in which we are living.

Actor Performance: Anders Palm
FRIZON by JAN-EJE FERLING - Sweden
A married vicar is secretly cross-dressing. When dressed up and drunk driving at an alarm situation he is stopped by the police and forced to stop his behavior. Life becomes less playful for the vicar.

Actress Performance: Audrey McCoy
ILLEGAL by ROBERT CAMBRINUS - U.K.
Economic migrant Andrej strikes up a friendship with the much younger Chechen refugee Moya. For a fleeting moment Moya may dream of a normal life; Andrej already knows it's an illusion.

Awarded Category: Photography, Maura Morales Bergmann
FINE CORSA by ALESSANDRO CELLI - Italy
Four adolescent boys take the train in to the city for an evening out. In an escalation of intolerance and violence, the ride quickly degenerates.

Awarded Category: Art Direction, Nelly Torres
TABLE OF DELICACIES by ALDO LAUREL and NANCY DE SANTIAGO - Mexico
Every child as every person's living child, has a special taste for his own needed "table of delicacies".

Awarded Category: Editing, Paola Freddi
L'AMORE NON ESISTE by MASSIMILIANO CAMAITI - Italy
Solo is convinced to possess a terrible power: wherever he goes, love fades.

Special Mentions:

A MONEY TALE by ZEKI HACIKERIMOGLU - Belgium
Three young folks find a big amount of money in a gutter. When they eventually decide to return it to its owner, they will come across the most peculiar situation. There will be no mercy.

BRÙ-CÉ-KAÉ! by HOLGER TRESSIN - Germany
Marianne's magical gift to bewitch animals is abused by her father to make money. But today there is, just maybe, a glimpse of a chance to escape this tragic doom loop once and for all.

NO ESCAPE by CHIRANJEEVI NANDA - India
No Escape is about a slum boy, who is victim of child labour, sexual harassment, sexual abuse and economic exploitations by his master and circumstances. Veenu starts a journey to end his life to get rid of all his problems, includes his inability shoulder the burden of a deaf and dumb brother and sick mother. Destiny is different from his wish, and there is no escape...
