INDIA'S INFO AND BROADCASTING MINISTER NAIDU LAUDS NFDC FILM BAZAAR 2016

Held on the sidelines of the 47th International Film Festival in Goa which was inaugurated Nov 20,2016 by Venkaiah Naidu, the Union Minister of Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Information & Broadcasting, the NFDC Film Bazaar's mulitmedia exhibition Azaadi 70 Saal  was also launched by Mr Naidu who enjoyed a tour exploring the various segments of the Bazaar. Accompanying the Minister were Ms N J Shaikh, Director Finance of NFDC and Raja Chhinal, Director of NFDC. Sadly, the Managing Director, NFDC Nina Lath Gupta, the inspirational architect of the Market, is not attending the event this year .  Mr Naidu said he was "very impressed by the Film Bazaar."It is a great idea; I compliment the efforts and elaborate arrangements made.Films are very important because they are the cheapest form of entertainment here. People need some relief; some sort of happiness. Secondly, films can portray our culture, our heritage. Films also can take the message of our country to other places. We have entered into a co-production agreement with different countries as we want to collaborate with other countries as well. The government will definitely encourage this."
