The golden grove

I can stop whenever I want

(Smetto Quando voglio / I Can Quit Whenever I Want)

Italian film, I can stop whenever I want, wins the Golden Puffin year. The selection committee says that the picture is an amazing Italian comedy, which highlight the diversity International Film Festival, which accommodates both experimental films as well as successful films that are intended to fall into the crushing of a large group of people. The film is not showing signs that she is the first one that Sydney Sibilia directed. It is interesting cast light on the intellectuals in Italy, tells the unlikely story of individuals who end up in a world of crime and sensual.

Special recognition of the jury:

Before I disappear (e. Before I Disappear)

Director: Shawn Christensen
USA / GBR

American / British film, Before I disappear, received a special prize of the jury in the category of discoveries during the year. The selection committee said that the film is to find a strong, fresh voice director Shawn Christnsen, he directed, wrote and plays in the movie about a man who is on the verge of committing suicide when he gets an unexpected role fit child young aunt . The director is truly a filmmaker who is worthy to watch.

Environment:

Waiting for August

Director: Teodora Ana Mihai
ROM / BEL

First, we would like to state that we are very aligned in our opinion - despite exceptionally strong and varied selection of images. The picture that fascinated us most had many respects the great things but was through a narrow and restricted setting to tell a big story that drew us to think. The director showed boldness in his presentation that was both effortless and human, but at the same time clear and let a person very close to the subject. The director is clearly a great respect for his characters and not least our viewers, who sit by a haunting picture.

The Church:

Toumi House (e. Toumi Villa)

Director: Suha ARRA.

The selection committee said the film Toumi house on the situation of women, of tradition and change decisively. She gives an insight into a world that is familiar and unfamiliar terms. Religious symbols and behaviors are a testament to the pain and joy of life, of powerlessness and power.

Toumi house reminiscent of how we are called to life and to be actors in their own lives. It shows how formal and superficial can suppress the people and lead the minds and hearts of the most critical. She reminds us of how young people and children are carriers of hope.

Toumi house shows that sometimes you need revolt to force changes as she recalls that they never sársaukalausar.

Golden egg:

Thirteen blue (e. Thirteen Blue)

Director: Jacqueline Lentzou
UK

British short film Thirteen blue, golden egg wins this year. In a review of the jury said the film is finding strong imagery, dense dialogue and dynamic game. The film sheds light sensitivity and a strong role in the life of a young girl who is at a crossroads in their lives. The director has sharp vision and a keen eye for detail as well as being innovative. So he manages to cast a clear picture of the complex world of the adults walked into the eye of a child.

Best Icelandic Short Film:

The painter

Director: Maple Pálmason
ICE / DEN

Short film that deals with the perfect artwork imperfect artist. In your review says the film looks intently at the viewer into a world of people who drift in vain when it comes to his art but is devoid of emotion towards his family. Strong imagery, comprehensive imperfect characters and an engaging storyline.

Special Judges Recognition

Sub Rosa

Director: Thora Hilmarsdóttir
ICE / GBR

Short film that grabs your attention and leads the audience into the world of innocence that no longer exists. Imagery is filled with symbolic images that evoke vangavelltur of morality, innocence, sensual, greed and lust. Poetic form which raises problematic query

FIPRESCI AWARD

Bota

The World
Dir .: Iris Elezi & Thomas Logoreci
ALB / ITA

The selection committee said that the film benefits is all at once seductive and simple story. She has, however, complicated and surprising political undertone that is more complex in the course of the movie. The result is a unique blend Melancholy beautiful and contemporary.
