Red Sea International Film FestivalThe second edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival (RedSeaIFF) will run in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from December 1-10, 2022. The Red Sea International Film Festival brings the best in Arab and World Cinema to Jeddah Old Town. The Festival showcases exciting new films on the Saudi big-screen, alongside retrospective programs celebrating the masters of cinema, the latest Saudi films, and feature and short film competitions. There are also industry events and workshops nurturing the next generation of talent. In ‘Celebration of Women in Cinema’, the Red Sea International Film Festival (RedSeaIFF), hosted a gala event this evening at the 75th Cannes International Film Festival on the grounds of the magnificent Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes. ![]() Egyptian cinema icon Yousra received the GOLD YUSR Honorary Award at the opening ceremonyThe Red Sea International Film Festival honored the Egyptian cinema icon Yousra with a GOLD YUSR Honorary Awards at the opening ceremony of the Festivals’ second edition in Jeddah on the Eastern shore of the Red Sea.
Along with acclaimed British director Guy Ritchie and the legendary Indian actor and producer Shah Rukh Khan, the Festival honored the three outstanding talents to recognize their exceptional contribution to the film industry. The Festival is set to run from 1-10 December and will present 131 feature films and shorts from 61 countries in 41 languages from both established and emerging talent.
From Egypt is actress, singer, megastar, United Nations Goodwill Ambassador and member of the Academy, Yousra. The iconic cinema legend is one of the most recognizable names in the entire region and has been gracing the silver screen for more than 50 years. Since the 1970s, Yousra has starred in some of the most important films in the history of Egyptian cinema, appearing in over 100 films. Her roles in films and TV series are trailblazing and continue to influence and inspire generations to this day.

Together with Guy Ritchie and Shah Rukh Khan, our three GOLD YUSR Honorary Award recipients are a tour de force in the industry and we look forward to welcoming them to Jeddah.”
About The Red Sea International Film Festival The second edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival will screen the best of the Arab and international cinema in Jeddah. The Festival will also showcase a retrospective program to celebrate the masters of cinema. The Red Sea International Film Festival is a platform for Arab filmmakers and industry professionals from around the world to connect, host competitions for short and feature films, and organize masterclasses to support emerging talent. It will take place from December 1 — 10, 2022.
