Planet in Focus, in its 16th year, is Canada’s leading environmental film organization showcasing and promoting outstanding environmental films and videos in all genres (documentaries, dramatic, experimental, short films, features and animation) by Canadian and international filmmakers. 

The 2015 PIF film Festival will take place in October 19 - 25 in Toronto. The awards include: Best International Feature, Best Canadian Feature, Best Short Film, Green Screen Award, Green Pitch Award, The Mark Haslam Award.

Planet in Focus operates year-round producing Canada’s largest environmental film festival every fall in Toronto; bringing environmental films to communities and schools across the country and internationally through our Touring Programs; and spearheading a pan-industry program to reduce the environmental footprint of the film and television industry, Green Screen Initiative.
