Chloe Zhao wins 3 Oscars for Nomadland, with Frances McDormand and Anthony Hopkins taking the top acting prizes.

Zhao is the second woman to win the best director prize, and the first woman of colour.

Best actor went to  Anthony Hopkins for his role in The Father. At 83, he wins his third Oscar award and is the oldest actor to win the award.
