NYTVF

The NYTVF was launched in 2005 as the industry’s first creative festival for television artists. A pioneer of the “independent television” movement, the Festival strives to construct a new and innovative path for program development. Where a film festival showcases completed works of art, competing for distribution and ready for the market, the NYTVF showcases ideas and talent, complementing the development process required for network, studio and branded entertainment development.

A+E Networks and the NYTVF present the Lifetime Writers Project: Submit Your Scripts!

For the first time, Lifetime is partnering with the NYTVF in search of emerging TV writers with bold, brand-defining scripted concepts. To submit, writers must enter an original series overview (up to four pages) along with an excerpt from the series' pilot script (up to fifteen pages) and a current C.V.

Lifetime Creative Brief:

As partner of the 2015 New York Television Festival, Lifetime, the premier female-focused entertainment destination dedicated to offering the highest quality original programming, seeks brand-defining one-hour scripted series that are emblematic of the network's premium and popular content, including the critically-acclaimed programs UnREAL and Devious Maids.

Awards:

* Semi-finalists will receive designation as 2015 NYTVF Official Artists and an exclusive invitation to participate in the 11th annual New York Television Festival, held in NYC in October 2015.

* The network will select five (5) writing fellows, each of whom will receive a grant ($1000 per artist) to attend the 2015 Festival and meet with Lifetime executives during the event.
