Well-known director Mr. Tsai Ming-liang, co-produced by Jaunt China and HTC VIVE, brought the firts VR feature from Cina in Venice "The Deserted," with a chinese nametranslating as  "Home at Lanre Temple". 

The film was shot with Jaunt ONE and Jaunt Cloud Render System for post processing.

Mr. James Fong, the CEO of Jaunt China, said, "'The Deserted' is the first VR project of which Jaunt China participated in the production. It's a great honor for us to have this opportunity to cooperate with Director Tsai and HTC VIVE which leads to the recognition from the Organizing Committee of the Venice International Film Festival. VR works requires an integration of creativity, art and technology and our dream is to be able to work with outstanding artists like Director Tsai to create global master pieces."

Tsai Ming Liang coms for the third time to Venice, he first came to Venice  Festival with his movie "I Don't Want to Sleep Alone" in 2006. In  2013, Stray Dogs won the Grand Jury Prize at the 70th Venice International Film Festival.

This time, Tsai Ming-liang returns with a very ambitious VR project which was shown at the VR Section.
