Call for Projects - Venice Gap-Financing Market 2022

The application deadline for the Venice Gap-Financing Market will be on May 7 (at 23:59 CEST).

Don't miss out on the opportunity to present your project to potential co-producers, investors, funders, distributors and other carefully selected and specially invited professionals attending the ninth edition of the Venice Gap-Financing Market, which will take place from September 2nd to 4th, 2022, during the 79th Venice International Film Festival (August 31st - September 10th, 2022).

The Venice Gap-Financing Market is a platform for selected projects that aims to support the european and international producers to secure financing for their projects (Fiction Films, Documentaries and Immersive Projects) through one-to-one meetings with potential and pertinent international professionals (producers, sales agents, distributors, financiers, broadcasters and funds). All the invited professionals are decision-makers.

This call is open to European and International projects for the following categories:

  • Fiction feature and Documentary film projects: up to 27/33 feature films and international narrative or creative feature documentaries, including 3 Biennale College Cinema Projects, from all over the world will be selected. There is no genre limitation and it's open to animation feature films;
  • Immersive Projects: up to 10/12 VR projects from all over the world will be selected.

This 3-day event will present up to 45 selected European and International projects and Immersive Projects developed through the Biennale College Cinema VR.

The Catalogue detailing each film project will  be emailed to the registered professionals by the beginning of July 2022 to entitle them to request 30-minute one-to-one meetings with the producers of the selected projects. The Venice Gap-Financing Market will set up these meetings in accordance with the availability of the participants and meetings slots. Each participant will receive a personalised meeting schedule a few days before the event.
