The Cesar will be thoroughly restructured
The new César statutes were adopted at the CNC this Thursday, July 9, 2020.
They make it possible to reform in depth the composition and governance of the Association which organizes the Caesars.
Before the beginning of September, all the voting members of the Académie des César (4,313 to date) will be able to apply and vote to appoint their 170 representatives, spread over 21 professional branches, within of the new General Assembly of the Association.
It is this renewed General Assembly (elected for 4 years) which will then elect, for a term of 2 years renewable once, the new Board of Directors of the Association, as well as a tandem Woman / Man for the Presidency.
These new statutes will make it possible to achieve full parity among the elected members of the GA, of the CA, of the Bureau and of the Presidency of the Association.
As soon as this new elected governance takes office, it will have to quickly review the rules of membership of the Academy to achieve greater parity, diversity and representativeness among the voters, increase the number, and take all the necessary decisions to organize the 2021 edition of the Cesars.
The Césars would particularly like to thank the CNC for its mediation work and in particular the various consultations it has undertaken since March, which have helped the César to achieve this ambitious reform.
