Les Cesar
Présidente : Mme Véronique CAYLA Secrétaire Générale : Mme Elisabeth TANNER info@academie-cinema.org Notre couverture: SITE ANGLAIS FRANCAIS ![]() Anna Karina, iconic star of french new wave, honored on the poster of the Cesar
Anna Karina, mythical figure of the New Wave, is gone at the end of 2020 ...
It is in this tribute to the muse of Jean-Luc Godard that the Academy of Cinema Arts and Techniques dedicates the poster for the 45th César Ceremony to her.
Anna Karina was the magnificent incarnation of women, both libertarian and ingenuous. This tasty mixture, this incandescent beauty, the evidence of an immense talent for actress, have fueled a number of films by the great directors of the New Wave: Rivette, Varda, Visconti, Schlöndorff ... and obviously Godard, with whom she has shot no less than 7 films.
In "A woman is a woman" first film shot in color and in cinemascope by the director, she plays, she sings, she twirls in this portrait of the woman of the 50s / 60s, torn between obsolete decorum and her aspirations for modernity , of freedom. With this role that suits her perfectly, it is the consecration for the young actress who wins a Silver Bear for Best Actress at the Berlin Festival in 1961.
With "Pierrot le Fou", she takes a new step, embodying one of her most emblematic roles, darker, more complex, she transmits thousands of emotions to us. She is irresistible and her legendary lines continue to haunt us forever.
She is still only a young model when photographer Georges Dambier immortalizes the incredible beauty of Anna Karina.
A sublime, smiling, elegant woman, looking to the future: a huge actress!
The Academy of Cinema Arts and Techniques invites you to its 45th celebration of the greatest talents of French cinema, on Friday February 28 at 9 p.m., on the stage of the Salle Pleyel, live and exclusively on Canal +.
