LA PALMA ROSA LGBT and I FESTIVAL FILM CULTURE SITGES
Sitges has been known to be a center of LGBT artists and culture for over 150 years since the artist Rusiñol established an art collective in the town in the late 1800s. The town is well provided with cinema venues and hosts the world famous Sitges Fantasy Film Festival in October – celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2017. Through promotion locally and internationally, La Palma Rosa will attract film festival patrons with unique content and creative scheduling. Sitges has long lacked a film festival dedicated to LGBT movies and La Palma Rosa fills that void in a region often referred to as ‘The Spanish Riviera’. ABOUT THE FESTIVALLa Palma Rosa is a multifaceted event, comprising movie screenings, international cabaret performances, exhibitions and theatre, all with a gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender heart.
