In Spiritual Destiny, the first book in the Alp to Taw Chronicles and Destiny Trilogy, meet Joseph Arthur Golden-Eagle, known as JAG, a full-blooded Pequot Native American who believes he possesses the vision to guide humanity through a pivotal crossroads. Raised by Night Owl and Morning Dove in Stonington, Connecticut, JAG has inherited his ancestors’ guiding values: DON’T TAKE what is not yours; DO TAKE care of what is yours, & Mother Earth will provide for you forever. But in a world driven by consumption and the profit motive, leading to global warming, overpopulation, and the threat of self-destruction, JAG must overcome powerful obstacles before he can make a meaningful impact. Born under signs of high aspirations, JAG's mission is to lead humanity toward a more responsible way of life, one rooted in ancient wisdom yet vital to our future. He carries his people’s principles as he embarks on a transformative journey to save humankind from its destructive path. Spiritual Destiny begins in the familiar surroundings of our world, unfolding in your own backyard, and will take readers step by step into realms beyond imagination. This is not just the story of one man’s journey but the inaugural episode in a much larger narrative. With Spiritual Destiny, the Alp to Taw Chronicles introduces readers to a contemporary Native American family and expands to illuminate the universe across the full breadth of time. Enter Spiritual Destiny and witness the legacy JAG begins, one that others must carry forward as the stakes rise ever higher. 10.02.2025 | James W. Hawk - filmmaker's blog |

User imagesAbout James W. Hawk - filmmaker![]() (HawkMedia Studios / HawkFilme / OldMan Hawk Film) James "Jim" W. Hawk was born in New Eagle, Pennsylvania. He is of German, Irish, Scottish and Native American (Seneca) decent. At the age of three, he was moved to Cleveland, Ohio. In 1972, he pursued a career in industrial sales and marketing with a Fortune 500 company which resulted in he and his family being relocate to Rochester, New York, South Bend, Indiana and finally, New Haven, Connecticut. Hawk's first independent film project was a two hour and four part documentary called The Old School Roadster on a Budget featuring Larry, a local car guy who built a Roadster in his garage. It was aired on television stations throughout Connecticut. Having these under his belt, he needed the next greater challenge...he wanted to make a short narrative film. He wrote, produced and directed Alpha to Omega: Part 4 with limited resources, but plenty of ingenuity. He wanted to keep it simple so he developed a story line and screenplay featuring the last man on Earth. After lots of work and some luck finding resources, it all came together as his first narrative short film. Since that time, he has produced, written and directed several short films, documentaries, music filmes commercials and industrial presentations. He has produced and directed two award-winning short animation films. He has also worked for the Connecticut Film Industry Training Program for four years as an Associate Producer and Director of the "behind the scenes" film of the program for four years. He has been interviewed on television regarding his short films. He has taken filmmaking classes at Quinnipiac University. He has had his films shown at 60 film festivals worldwide, on local television and at other public venues. He is always either planning, producing or searching for his next greater challenge.
