iRepresent International Documentary Film FestivalIREPRESENT INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL is a 10-year old specialised film festival focused entirely on Documentary Films. It is organised annually (3rd week of March) by the iREP Documentary Film Forum, a corporate member of the West Africa Documentary Film Forum, WADFF. The Festival is managed by: The Foundation for the Promotion of Documentary Films in Africa (FPDA), is a non-profit initiative that was born out of the former iREPRESENT International Documentary Film Forum, organisers and promoters of the yearly iREP Documentary Film Festival, launched in 2010 in Lagos. Registered with the Corporate Affair Commission of Nigeria, the Foundation was formally inaugurated at the iREP Film Festival in 2016.
The FPDFA is to concretely promote ideals of the iREP Film Festival with the aim of projecting the medium of Documentary film as a means of expanding the conversations around stories told of Africa.
