HKIFFSCommitted to the development of a vibrant film culture in Hong Kong and Asia, we, the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society Limited (HKIFFS), organise three annual flagship events in March and April: The Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF), the Hong Kong-Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF) and the Asian Film Awards (AFA). Call for Entries for the 38th Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF)The call for entries for the 38th Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF) has been started. Organised by the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society (HKIFFS), the 38th HKIFF will be held from 24 March to 7 April 2014. HKIFF is Asia’s oldest international film festival and a major platform for world cinema. Its programme comprises features, documentaries, shorts and animations divided into 6 sections. From July 15 to 31 December, 2013, the 38th HKIFF will accept submissions for its 6 sections: Young Cinema Competition - open to filmmakers with their first, second or third features with cash prizes awarded by jury Documentary Competition - open to documentaries running 60 minutes or longer with cash prizes awarded by jury Short Film Competition - Open to all films under 15 minutes duration with cash prizes awarded by jury
