International Short Film Festival Hamburg invites directors to hand in their films until February 15

The Festival

It all started in 1985 under the title No Budget Festival as a small festival that mainly screened super 8 films. Over the years it grew bigger and bigger and is nowadays one of the most important short film festivals in Europe that lures every year up to nearly 15 000 spectators into the word of short film. The festival is being held by the Short Film Agency Hamburg.

Film Entrys

From now on filmmakers and production companies can enter their short films for the 26th International Short Film Festival Hamburg. The festival will take place from June 1 June until 7 June.

From 30 May to 6 June the 12th Mo&Friese Children's Short Film Festival will also open its gates for our younger audience. The entry deadline for the three-minute quickie (topic: „kitchen") is 1 April. Films for all other categories must be submitted until 15 February. Submissions are welcome for the following competitions: International Competition, Made in Germany, NoBudget Competition, The Three Minute-Quickie, Mo&Friese Children's Film Festival.
