Panel in Cannes May 23: "The future of cinema: is it interactive, 3D, digital"

Future of Cinema Salon @ Cannes
This panel in Cannes will examine a few trends that the film industry can expect to go through in the coming decades.
The D Cinema is now a marching revolution,
3D stereo has become a major part in blockbuster launch strategy,
the digital revolution offers a different access from the public to special events,
home entertainment is now competition but probably also a future partner in public entertainment.
Gaming and cinema convergence will create new productions synergies.
Interactive scenario demands new writing skills but is the industry ready for the new grammar.
The collective experience of cinema will follow some of the trends which the home entertainment has known, but to what extent.
New physical emotions linked to entertainment brought the likes of “Wiimotes” will bear echo in the collective.
How about Vjay monitoring.
Some industrials are working on interactive technologies allowing spectators to contribute, massively or individually, taking control of some elements in the story: is this the end of the final cut?
The panelists will share their vision, experience and hopes.
The open discussion will cover a variety of aspects from creation to distribution.

The panel will take place May 25 from 10 to 12 am on the VIP Beach Hotel 3.14 - Baron Beach on the croisetteInvitation event
