Filmandfestivals

Film & Festivals Magazine was created to guide and support film professionals as well as emerging film talent and film students, providing practical tips and cutting edge insider information to provoke, inspire and propel the readers’ creativity and careers forward.

The magazine’s content is carefully chosen to provide maximum access to the film world, exploring a wide range of topics from concise investigative pieces to in depth interviews with the industry’s finest. Subjects covered range from the analysis of cinema’s future, assessing the impact of 3D cinema and new technologies to in depth interviews with celebrated actors such as Julie Delpy and Oscar winning actress Charlize Theron as well as tips from veteran film producer Nik Powell, Damien Jones and talented director Paul Andrew Williams of London to Brighton fame, amongst others.

These informative pieces together with detailed previews and reviews of films, film festivals, new talent plus an invaluable pull out guide to upcoming submission deadlines and a festival diary for the coming months, make Film and Festivals Magazine a ‘must have’ read not only for all those working or aspiring to work in the industry but also discerning film buffs worldwide who are flocking to film festivals that can offer specialized and independent content.

BRITDOC'S "DRAGON'S DEN" IS OFFICIALLY OPEN FOR BUSINESS

BIG PITCH OPENS FOR APPLICATIONS

The Big Pitch at BRITDOC is the UK's only international pitching forum - a golden opportunity for 12 filmmakers to pitch their documentary projects to an exceptional panel of commissioning editors and film funders from the US, Europe and the Far East.

Last year our panel included HBO, IFC, ARTE, Sundance Institute, ITVS, NHK Japan, Netflix, Discovery Films and SBS Australia and over two thirds of the projects received funding as a direct result of pitching.

All projects entered join the Online Pitching Forum searched by all our funders before, during and after festival.

For full details and to apply:
www.britdoc.org/festival/ApplyFor/Pitchingforums

Deadline: Friday 13 June.
