Tony Ramos and Mauro Mendonça Filho in Fantasporto to present "Vade Retro", from Rede Globo

The Brazilian actor Tony Ramos and the director Mauro Mendonça Filho, already winner of an Emmy (the Oscar of the television), will be in Porto Friday and Saturday of the next week (days 2 and 3 of March) to present in Fantasporto "Vade Retro "his latest television series, a production of Rede Globo.
Both Tony Ramos and Mauro Mendonça Filho will receive on the stage of the Rivoli the Fantasporto Career Award, along with the critic and director Lauro António and the British director Harley Cokeliss.
Tony Ramos, one of the greatest stars of Brazilian television and cinema, has been a soap opera star since the 1970s, since playing his first starring role in "Pai Hero" and also having a parallel career in the movies. Mauro Mendonça son, has a huge resume as a director, having won twice the International Emmy Award, the television Oscar. The first was in 2012, for the remake of "The Astro" (2011), by Janete Clair; the second International Emmy was awarded in 2016 for the production of Walcyr Carrasco's novel "Verdades Secretas".
The series is about Celeste, a naive and naive lawyer who is hired by the powerful and seductive Abel Zebu (Tony Ramos), an executive who gives motivational talks to business managers and is in the process of divorce. Celeste does not realize that the purpose of the approach is to use it as a plaything in the ambit of the businessman's suspicious business and ends up giving in to the charm of Abel Zebu, despite being warned by her mother that everything indicates that the entrepreneur can be in the Truth the Devil himself ...
This series is part of the Globo TV Special that the Porto International Film Festival presents Friday (March 2), which also includes the Globo productions "Carcereiros", by José Eduardo Belmonte, with Rodrigo Lombardi on paper protagonist, a prison guard in the face of his problems and those of the prisoners he watches over.
Also part of this Globo TV special is the presentation of the feature film "The Comedy Divine" by Toni Venturi, who participates in the Fantasporto's Fantastico Cinema section, and Santiago Dellape's "Meio Expediente" official non-competitive "Panorama & Première" section of the festival.
The plot of "The Divine Comedy" is inspired by the provocative tale "The Church of the Devil" by Machado de Assis, the most important Brazilian realist writer of the 20th century. XIX, in which the Devil himself comes to earth to open his own church and the world becomes a pandemonium of delights and confusions ...
The director Toni Venturi will also be in Porto to present his film accompanied by the actress Débora Doboc, one of the protagonists of "The Divine Comedy".
As for "Half File", tells the story of a head of a public bureau with a bitter end of the year. Ignored by employees in the New Year lottery kitty, he sees his colleagues and subordinates sharing a prize of 90 million and has to submit to see the empty seats in the office with the few who were also left out of the draw.
The director Santiago Dellape, who is in Porto as a member of the Jury of the Official Section of Fantastic Cinema, was awarded in Fantasporto in 2016 with a Special Mention of the Jury for his film "The Repartition of Time".
