The European Film Academy announces the nominations in the category “EUROPEAN SHORT FILM – Prix Vimeo”Today the European Film Academy revealed the nominees of the European Short Film category. With the announcement the Academy enters a partnership with Vimeo, the innovative video experience platform for creators and enterprises. The cooperation aims to encourage a cultural dialogue and showcases the layered richness of European cinema. Vimeo will serve as the exclusive title sponsor of the European Short Film category, renaming it to “EUROPEAN SHORT FILM – Prix Vimeo”. Furthermore, the European Film Academy welcomes Vimeo “Staff Picks”, a curated selection of exceptional short films from the Vimeo community, on the website of the European Film Awards. With new curated videos added each week, the Academy highlights achievements in short filmmaking year-round. Since 2008 Vimeo’s “Staff Picks” have helped the careers of celebrated directors, inspired millions, and built a global community of storytellers.
