Saawariya I Love U is a Indian Film in Bhojpuri language - with a social message at its core. Let us not misrepresent the film as an out an out romantic movie. Yes, love is central to the films storyline but it also moves around social relationships with a relevant social message, which are in many ways revolutionary thereby going beyond the barriers of class issues.

SYNOPSIS

While wehave swiftly moved on into the 21st Century and made our mark on the world map, still there are many communities in the interiors, to whom marrying outside a community is a ghastly crime. It not only invokes the wrath of the communityelders who ban them from the community but at times also call for “honor killing” which these days is front page news material for the media. Same is the case with widow remarriage. Who said Raja Ram Mohan Roy’s efforts has abolished sati and widow remarriage is no more considered a taboo. We would request you to think again as such offence are not fiction created in novelsand movies. It happens all over...

Containing every ingredient that sets it apart from conventional Bhojpuri Films, SAAWARIYAI LOVE YOU is an electrifying story of a woman caught in a web of situations -a plot that has electrifying disclosures at every turn - is fast paced, and not at all superficial in its treatment with exceptionally skilful, high tension, gripping emotional drama with a profound moral debate at its heart. A romanticfamily entertainer, this film is sure to set a trend in a conservative society where “widow re-marriage” is still considered a ghastly crime.

SAAWARIYA I LOVE YOU is the story of the bubbly cheerful Nandini (Rani Chatterjee), the archetypal Indian girl whose entire world revolved around her best friend Rohit (Vinnay Anandh) who are childhood friends and are inseparable. Now of marriageable age, Nandini starts weaving her dreams of a good looking handsome prince as a suitor who would one day come looking for her. On the other hand, this friendship has culminated into love for Rohit, but is unable to express his feelings as Nandini considers Rohit only as a very good friend and nothing more... Days pass by and one fine day, Nandini’s parents choose a good suitor for her. Even Nandini is very happy at her parent’s choice. Rohit is shattered and leaves his village for good as the thought of spending life without Nandini kills him from inside.

Nandini steps into her new home with lots of dreams, aspirations and a heart full oflove for her life partner. However, destiny has some other designs for her. Her husband is killed in a road rage incident the very next day of marriage. Nandini's in-laws feel she has carried misfortune in the family. They eventually throw her out of her matrimonial home after torturing her a lot. Nandini comes back as a widow to her parents with no urge to live.

Nandini’s face show signs of her loneliness as though some part of her had died within her, only to be replaced by a bleak, uncertain future. Like a woman who had struggled through the desert for too long, determined to make it, but no longer quite sure why. With no urge to live, Nandini starts maintaining a certain distance from everyone. Nandini’s Life takes a different turn when Rohit comes to know of Nandini’s misfortune. He heads back to the village with a jagged determination to shower a rainbow of love and happiness in Nandini’s life. Encouraging to start life afresh, Rohit talks about a thousand things with warmth and understanding to pull her out of her loneliness, her melancholiness.

However, the villager’s don’t take this friendship in good light. When confronted, Rohit challenges them and goes ahead and declares his love for Nandini in full viewof the villagers. He tells Nandini that he is ready to marry her. However, there is a twist to the tale as a rude shock is awaiting for Rohit. The villagers feel a widow has no right from having a new lease of life. They make her feel claustrophobic, where her freedom of thought is also chained and Rohit struggles to make her see things with a different thought. He mentally braces her to stand ground for a new lease of life and not succumb to the societal pressures. But Nandini not only out rightly rejects his proposal but also slaps him in front of all. She also tells Rohit that he has crossed his limits with such nasty thoughts about possessing her. The Villagers who till now were lookingfor an opportunity to get even with Rohit don’t take this lightly, and are now thirsting for Rohit's blood as they feel he has outraged the modesty of an honorable widow of their village.

Will Rohit ever be able to change Nandini's mind? Will the society accept his proposal of getting married to a widow? Only time and SAAWARIYA I LOVE YOU has the answers...
