The Palestine Film Festival returns to Barbican in April for five days

 

The Palestine Film Festival returns to Barbican in April for five days, showcasing more than 40 works, and will bring London audiences the widest array yet of film and video work on, and from, Palestine and the region. Opening with the UK Premiere of Man Without a Cellphone (Dir Sameh Zoabi), this year's festival will also include a rare journey into the British imperial film archives and a brand new drama from director Tawfik Abu Wael (Atash/Thirst, 2004). You will also find attached two London Palestine Film Festival Press Releases, one detailing events taking place at Barbican Cinema, and one which contains full listings for all venues.

 

April also sees a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the special effects masterpiece Jason and the Argonauts. Following a special screening, animation experts Nick Park, Mark Waring and Tony Dalton will be in conversation on the Cinema 1 stage. 

 

The Silent Film and Live Music Series with also continue with a screening of Beggars of Life with musical accompaniment by Neil Brand and The Dodge Brothers (featuring Mark Kermode).
