THE BEST RAJASTHANI FILMS TO RECEIVE CASH PRIZE This year, in The Jaipur International Film Festival besides the national and international cinema we are also encouraging and promoting the Rajasthani Cinema to the every possible extent. This is one of the primary reasons why JIFF will honour 3 best films selected out of overall films submitted from Rajasthan with the cash prize. The first prize comprises of Rs. 21,000/- whereas the second and the third prize will comprise of Rs. 11,000/- and 5,000/- respectively. The tradition of rendering cash prize is one of the initiatives taken for the first time in the JIFF’s history of 5 years. The prime objective of commencing one such scheme is to deliver new lifeblood to the cinematic culture of Rajasthan and motivate the filmmakers. It is also an initiative to attract the stream of talented filmmakers towards the Rajasthani Cinema.
It is worth notable that the Jaipur International Film Festival will be organized from the 30th of January till the 3rd of February 2013 in the Pink City of India. For the 5th edition of JIFF, 1391 films have been officially submitted from 90 countries of the world. Out of these, the members of the JIFF preview committee have selected 210 films of different languages in various categories for the screening purpose. 24.12.2012 | Editor's blog Cat. : BEST RAJASTHANI FILMS Culture of Rajasthan Entertainment Entertainment Indian Railways Jaipur Jeonju International Film Festival North Jeolla Province Pink City Rail transport in India Rajasthan Rajasthani Cinema States and territories of India THE BEST RAJASTHANI FILMS TO RECEIVE CASH PRIZE The Jaipur International Film Festival FILM
