This year the FCAT presents, from 21st to 29th May:

• dozens of respected filmmakers and producers from Europe and Africa including legendary director Idrissa Ouedraogo
• €48,500 in prize money through 8 different awards
The festival programme focuses in 10 different sections on:
• African feature length fiction films, short films, documentaries, animation films and African film classics
• 50th anniversary of African independencies
• film production of Nigerian Nollywood, which is globally the second biggest after Bollywood
• The African diaspora in Cuba
