From nearly 170 compositions submitted from 36 countries, Mikal Grigorowitsch (Germany), Antonio Di Iorio (USA/Italy), and Gary Hirche (Germany) have been selected as the finalists of the International Film Music Competition 2025 that takes place in the frame of the Zurich Film Festival. This year’s challenge invited participants to create an original score for the seven-minute short film WILD LOVE.

The three nominated compositions will be premiered by the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich during the Cinema in Concert gala on 2 October 2025. That same evening, the best work will be honoured with the Golden Eye for Best International Film Music 2025, endowed with CHF 10,000, by this year’s jury chaired by Oscar winner Hildur Guðnadóttir.
