Together, THROUGH A LENS DARKLY: BLACK PHOTOGRAPHERS AND THE EMERGENCE OF A PEOPLE and DIGITAL DIASPORA FAMILY REUNION represent a new model of participatory nonfiction filmmaking where the public contributes content that helps unlock hidden or forgotten histories.
