San Diego Fest awards announced

The San Diego Film Festival is an annual celebration of film produced by the San Diego Film Foundation, held in San Diego's historic Gaslamp Quarter. The competitive five-day event, which celebrates the actor's work, highlights more than 80 films and showcases the best in American and international feature, documentary and short films. More than just movies – the Festival includes educational workshops and panels, Q&A sessions with filmmakers and their cast, and guest appearances by nationally recognized film artists.

The San Diego Film Festival, a five-day, competitive event that showcased more than 85 domestic and international films, today announced the winners for the 2004 fest. Of the nearly 1,200 films submitted, 85 made the cut; 14 were honored with awards.

A special honor was bestowed on veteran actor— star of stage and screen— Cliff Robertson, as he accepted the San Diego Magazine Lifetime Achievement Award at the festival’s Actor’s Ball, on Saturday, Oct. 2.
