SAFILM-San Antonio Film Festival wraps the 2020 (pandemic) season of online mini-fests with the final run of our official December selections streaming Wednesday, December 9th - Sunday, December 13th!

Support cyber-cinema and watch movies from independent, local and global filmmakers, including four incredible blocks of shorts: Feast Your Eyes pairing of culinary films that is a visual and informative feast; Growing Pains exploring the years before adulthood;

FILM SYNOPSIS: The Sense of Cocoa

Motivated by a good friend who lost his sense of taste, Jordi Roca decides to undertake an unprecedented ambitious project: to use cocoa to recover the sense of taste of people who have lost through their memories. It's a journey through the senses and memories that represents a scientific and gastronomic challenge that could change millions of lives.

Film Synopsis: A unique experimental found footage take on an anti-hero protagonist. ‘Wisper’ is the true story of the murder of a middle-class African American family in Northern New Jersey. In the summer of 2016, three children and their mother were found shot to death in their large suburban home. Loosely based on the personal videotapes and diaries owned by the father of the victims.

Letters from Antarctica directed by Stanislav Donchev
Film Synopsis: A single mother, wanting to protect her eight-year-old son from pain, lies to him that his dad is away with an Antarctic expedition. But postponing the confession about his father’s death, causes damage to her and her son. The lie spins out of control.
