Panorama of Independent Filmmakers Awards

The 7th International Panorama of Independent Filmmakers finished on Saturday 1st of October in a successful and celebrating atmosphere. Panorama was organized by the Non Profitable Company called «Ιnternational Panorama of Independent Filmakers» with the cooperation of the cultural company “Screen” and the on line magazine for the alternative culture Cineek magazine (www.cineek.gr) under the aegis of Municipality of Rentis.

The final celebration included the grant of rewards and special distinctions of 7th International Panorama, as well as the 2nd International Competition of Photography with the subject of “Points of Contact”.

The International Panorama of Independent Films and Videos Creators, with its presence in Athens, shows that there is a continuity and consequence in the institution giving an expression of freedom in Greek and Foreign Creators without exclusions of any expediencies respecting the culture and values of each culture and creator separately.

This is a pioneer effort for our country as the International Panorama is the unique cinematographic festival in Southern and Eastern Europe without preliminary Committee without censorship and examination.

It should be emphasized that special interest was stressed by cultural masterminds to show the awarded films in Kalamata, Patras and with the collaboration of Central Union of Municipal and Perfectoral Councils of Youth in Greece they will be shown in above 80 Municipalities and Prefectures (with the frequency of twice a week), while in Athens will shown on the workshop of Spyros Vasiliou, in Ash in Art , in the Centre of Juridical Studies and as pre-festival events of 8th International Panorama.

The rewards were granted from :
Sylvanna Rapti, Member of National Parliament of PA.SO.K at A`Athens,
Nora Katselli, Member of National Parliament of PA.SO.K at B`Athens,
Papapostolou G and Spyropoulos A., Members of Municipality Council of Renti,
