New 2020 Palm Springs International Film Society Board Members
The Festival will run February 25-March 8, 2021 with the Film Awards Gala on February 25. Full days of film screenings will begin February 26th including the Opening Night presentation that evening and will conclude with Best of Fest on March 8.

Elizabeth is the founder of Elizabeth Films, llc, a film and television development company based in Santa Monica, California. Elizabeth Films is currently in development on a slate of properties including: The television series WTF, GLENN, based on the blog entitled wtfgc; THE BUSBY BABES, a feature film based on the epic Manchester United soccer franchise; and THE OTHER PROM. Her background also includes former Sr. Vice President of Strategic Marketing at Universal Pictures a tenure that spanned 16 years at the Studio. Elizabeth is also Chair of The Judy Fund and works to ignite public awareness and engagement in the battle against Alzheimer’s disease. Elizabeth is the daughter of Marshall Gelfand, who played a major role in the development of the PSIFF and beloved philanthropist Judy Gelfand.

Scott has served as the CEO since 2010 and is charged with uniting nine Coachella Valley cities under the brand of Greater Palm Springs. Originally from Monterey, California, he was on the pre-opening sales team at the Renaissance Esmeralda back in 1988 and went on to hold various tourism positions such as Executive Director of the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau and Executive Vice President of the Greater Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureau before returning to the Desert. With more than 20 years of hospitality and destination marketing experience, Scott also serves on several industry boards including the U.S. Travel Association, Destination Marketing Association International Board and, most recently, the California Travel Association Board. Scott is a highly respected marketing professional.

Michele Finney is a seasoned healthcare CEO with over 37 years of experience in hospital management with Tenet Health – from small community hospitals and outpatient facilities to large medical centers and multi-facility systems and regions. Michele is the CEO for Desert Care Network, which consists of Desert Regional Medical Center (Palm Springs), JFK Memorial Hospital (Indio) and Hi-Desert Medical Center (Joshua Tree). Desert Care Network offers care coordination between its hospitals and their affiliated entities, including labs, imaging centers, surgery centers and urgent care facilities. Michele also serves as President & CEO of Desert Regional Medical Center, the Region’s only trauma hospital and comprehensive stroke center.

Marie is currently the President and CEO of the Carol A. Ammon Foundation, a foundation focused on health care and education located in Saratoga Springs, NY. She completed her residency at The Medical Center of Delaware, where she practiced obstetrics and gynecology for nine years. In addition, she is a board member at Eisenhower Medical Center, Rancho Mirage, and also sits on the quality improvement committee. Marie is is an important donor to many non-profits in the Coachella Valley.

As an active member of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, Tristan Milanovich is the daughter of the revered tribal chairman, Richard Milanovich, whose leadership brought the Tribe to its amazing economic success. Tristan, in many ways, displays Richard’s leadership qualities. She strives to promote a vibrant relationship between the greater Palm Springs community and the Tribe. Over the years, Tristan has served on many initiatives including: Desert X, The Agua Caliente Cultural Museum Board, the Guide Dogs of the Desert, amongst other charitable efforts. In addition to her commitment to the community, she has pursued her passion as a fashion stylist, working freelance for such publications as Palm Springs Life, Desert Magazine and Sunset Magazine.
