Netherlands Film Production Incentive invests € 4.7 million in 13 new productions

In the second round of 2018, 13 film projects have been granted a total of over € 4.7 million in cash rebates through the Netherlands Film Production Incentive Scheme. These projects will generate over € 18.3 million in production expenditure within the Netherlands. The contributions are granted to 12 feature films and 1 animated feature film, including 9 international co-productions.

Standing out in this round is the animated feature film Ainbo, directed by José Zelada and Richard Claus, produced by Dutch producer Cool Beans in co-production withTunche Films (PE). A major part of this co-production with Peru will be taking place in the Netherlands.

Application rounds
Mid July the Fund expects to announce the granted projects for this year’s second application round of High End TV-series.
The submission deadline of the first upcoming application round of the Incentive for Film and High End series in 2018 is 3 September.

The Netherlands Film Production Incentive offers cash rebate on the qualifying Dutch production costs spent in the Netherlands.
