Netflix psychological thriller Behind Her Eyes starts principal photography and announces cast
Principal photography has begun on Behind Her Eyes, the 6 part psychological thriller for launch on Netflix in 2020, shooting in Scotland and London. From the team behind The Crown and adapted from Sarah Pinborough’s best-selling novel of the same name, Behind Her Eyes is created for television and written by Steve Lightfoot (Hannibal, Narcos, The Punisher) and stars Simona Brown (The Night Manager, The Little Drummer Girl), Eve Hewson (The Knick, Robin Hood), Tom Bateman (Vanity Fair, Murder on the Orient Express), and Robert Aramayo (Nocturnal Animals, Game of Thrones). Erik Richter Strand (Valkyrien, Occupied) directs all six episodes.
Simona Brown plays Louise, a single mother who has an affair with her psychiatrist boss David (Tom Bateman). Her life takes a strange turn when she later befriends his wife Adele (Eve Hewson), and she finds herself caught in a web of secrets and lies where nothing is what it seems.
Behind Her Eyes is 6 x 60’, produced by Left Bank Pictures and written by Steve Lightfoot and Angela LaManna, based on the best-selling novel by Sarah Pinborough. Executive producers are Steve Lightfoot, Jessica Burdett, Andy Harries and Suzanne Mackie for Left Bank, producer is Eliza Mellor, director is Erik Richter Strand and Netflix Execs are Allie Goss, Brittney Segal and Danielle Woodrow.
