MyMetaStories: Films for the first edition of the festival unveiled bringing young European cinema to Minecraft

The first festival to bring young European cinema to Minecraft®.3

 

Daniela Elstner, Executive Director of Unifrance, unveiled the selection for the 1st edition of MyMetaStories. MyMetaStories is the very first festival to bring cinema to the Metaverse, at the crossroads of cultural and creative industries of film and video games.1st edition, 20 films - 7 features and 13 shorts - have been selected. These films have been screened at major international festivals and come from all over Europe: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Ireland, Northern Macedonia, Ukraine, Netherlands, Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Ireland, Slovakia.

 

Festival-goers will be able to discover this selection subtitled in 6 European languages: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. 

Short films are free worldwide, and feature films can be viewed individually for € 1.99, or in their entirety for € 7.99 per pack. Feature films will be available free of charge in Latin America, Africa and the Near and Middle East.

 

The Minecraft® experience takes place from October 13 to 16. During these four days, the thirteen short films will be accessible in a unique virtual world: MyMetaStories city. Players will be invited to enter a virtual cinema featuring thirteen screening rooms. For 3 days, the films will be screened at precise times to recreate the unique experience of the theater. On day 4, players will be able to catch up the entire program.

 

Players will be able to challenge themselves with mini-games based on the films selected by MyMetaStories.

 

Designed to promote Europe's cultural diversity, MyMetaStories also has an educational aspect, with areas for discovering cinema and the film industry.
