SERIES ON THE BRIDGE

SELECTION HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED

To be held from 24 to 26 April as part of the 43rd Istanbul Film Festival, Meetings on the Bridge’s ‘Series on the Bridge’ selection has been announced.

Meetings on the Bridge, with Anadolu Efes as the main supporter, continues to bring together producers, directors and screenwriters from Turkey with international professionals.

Series on the Bridge, sponsored by OGM Pictures, will present 6 series projects. Each team (writers, directors and producers) of the 6 selected projects will participate in the workshops curated by Meetings on the Bridge with the aim of improving the development and production of the projects. A pitch session with the participation of professionals at Meetings on the Bridge will be followed by one-on-one meetings with the jury and television professionals (producers, distributors, TV channels and digital platforms representatives). The jury comprises Ahu Türkpençe (actress), İnci Gülen Oarr (Stellar Productions) and Nilgün Öneş (screenwriter). One of the projects will receive the OGM Pictures Special Award worth 60,000 TL.

Selected projects are:

·         Imbros (dir. Ozan Yoleri, prod. Alara Hamamcıoğlu Bayraktar, writer Ozan Yoleri)

·         Ladies (dir. Sefa Öztürk, prod. Diloy Gülün, writer Sefa Öztürk)

·         Let Them Talk (dir. Ali Kemal Güven, prod. Seda Özkaraca, writers Ali Kemal Güven, Barış Gönenen, Hakan Ataman)

THE SELECTION FOR THE 7th MEETINGS ON THE BRIDGE SHORT FILM WORKSHOP HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED

7 out of 74 projects have been selected to participate in the 7th Short Film Workshop of Meetings on the Bridge, organised by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) as part of the Istanbul Film Festival.

Meetings on the Bridge, supported by Anadolu Efes, will be held physically from 24 to 26 April. The project teams (writers, directors and producers) of the 7 selected projects will work in groups with experienced mentors, writers, producers and film festival programmers. They will learn more on development, script, production, project file preparation and project presentation.

For the first time, with the aim to strengthen the film community and foster sharing, short filmmakers will spend time with the feature film and TV series participants. They will therefore expand their networking, better understand the expectations of the film industry, develop their skills, and nurture their unique voices by diving deep into their projects.

This year the selection committee comprises Céline Roustan (film programmer), Hakim Mao (Initiative Film), Florian Fernandez (Cannes, industry) and Onur Sefer (Scriptwriter, Director).

Selected projects are:

·         Belli Belirsiz İşaretler (dir. Harun Yel, prod. Esra Güzel, writer Harun Yel)

·         Canavarlar Gerçek Midir? (dir. Sertaç Koyuncu, prod. Diler Ercan, writer Hubeyb Üzüm)
