Guanajuato Film Festival founded and directed by Sarah Hoch, - started as a festival dedicated to shorts - used to be one of the emerging festivals in Mexico; Then in America; And twenty years later, with International presence; Collapses due to an inappropriate censorship of the most respected press not only in Mexico, but abroad. 

Excluding is a form of censorship. To Columba Vértiz, of the influential  Proceso Magazine; Journalist and internationally respected publication; she was denied accreditation; As well as to Sergio Raúl López, editor of  "Toma" magazine, a specialized magazine, a must-see, whose entire collection is housed in the Mexican Cinemateque, awarded this year by the Publishing Industry; Is another of the prestigious journalists who were denied access to the press room. Curiously both, have seriously, and positively reported for years, the activities of the festival.

Jorge Caballero, leading cultural journalist, from "La Jornada", critic and objective, has denounced in his daily chronicles, censorship to a press, prestigious all of it, that curiously has objectively publicized the festival.

With Daniela Michel, director of the Morelia festival; One of the most important in the world; Sarah Hoch, has a rough relationship.

Disappointing for the public, as for the press, the attitude of an  American born, youn girl, that choose  San Miguel de Allende, as home, who always had a cathy of sympathy.

 Now seems to ignore that the festivals are made with public funds - as she herself has stated, there are 17 Million Pesos (almost million dollars)  a she should be respectful of it. The promotion of destiny is one of the objectives of the festivals; And Sarah is accomplishing it, but a negative sense, in the same proportion that has grown; Now it is negatively .

What is the meaning of creating so many frictions ..? .. Sara had built a human festival., Hopefully she get again the course .. Remember the quote from "Under the Volcano" by Lowry: "Take care of this garden that is yours" .. "Do not destroy what you love."
