Idaho fall fest will bend it like beckham

The 2nd Annual Idaho International Film Festival will take place September 30 through October 3, 2004 in downtown Boise with screenings at the historic Egyptian Theatre, The Flicks and The Boise Centre on the Grove. The 2003 Idaho International Film Festival introduced Boise to an eclectic array of international and independent American film including the international smash hit BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM; Academy Awards nominee THE CRIME OF PADRE AMARO; CHIHWASEON; winner of the Best Director Award at Cannes, INTACTO; AMARGOSA; NOTHING SO STRANGE; SHUT YOUR DIRTY LITTLE MOUTH and GODZILLA VS. SPACE GODZILLA as well as the Festival’s annual sidebar of the best work produced in Idaho.

This year’s film festival will present an exciting, varied and award-winning selection of films that represent the best new independent cinema from America and abroad. The Festival selections showcase excellent unseen films that will satisfy every taste: comedy, drama, science-fiction, sports, animation, suspense, music, documentary, family-friendly matinees, and avant-garde midnight screenings. Many of the screenings will be attended by directors, producers or actors who will be available for post-screening Q&A sessions with the audience.

The Film Festival will also host special events throughout the weekend where festival attendees, actors, directors and sponsors will gather together to celebrate film, food, drink and music. In addition to an Opening Night Film and Gala, there will be gatherings at downtown eateries and lounges as well as a Closing Night Wrap-Up Party.
