I’VE SEEN FILMS International Short Film Festival launches in Italy

I’VE SEEN FILMS International Short Film Festival, together with its founder, the international artist Rutger Hauer, announced today that the First Edition will be held from September 22 to 26, 2008 in Milan, Italy. The Festival is linked to the online ‘Tiscali InShort’ contest. The Call for Entries is available online. I’VE SEEN FILMS International Film Festival
Founded in 2007 by Rutger Hauer (‘Blade Runner’, ‘The Hitcher’, ‘Ladyhawke’, ‘The Legend of the Holy Drinker’, ‘Sin City’, ‘Batman Begins’, etc.), the Festival aims to promote on a world-wide basis and through the internet streaming medium, the works of filmmakers desiring powerful exposure and visibility to their films.

An important part of this International Short Film Festival is the online ‘Tiscali InShort’ contest, hosted by the internet provider in cooperation with In connection with the ‘Tiscali InShort’ contest, Tiscali and Cortoweb also offer film authors, as an additional visibility opportunity, the possibility to have their works aired on the new Tiscali IPTV media channel and the free streaming in the Tiscali Video portal.
I’VE SEEN FILMS is one of the four festivals, grouped under the Tiscali Brand, hosting the ‘Tiscali InShort’ initiative, that will assign the final ‘Tiscali InShort Golden Award’ to the Best Short Film.

In addition, as a result of linking this event to the successful initiative of the Rutger Hauer Film Factory (whereby a legacy of enormous film knowledge is passed on by Rutger Hauer and his peers to ambitious and talented film professionals), this new-concept platform creates a new opportunity for film professionals and offers the largest possible artistic choice to audiences all over the world.

By merging these three important realities together, I’VE SEEN FILMS 2008 is creating an innovative way of linking the new millennium medium to the firmly established cultural film festival tradition, with Rutger Hauer at the helm, personally awarding the Festival winners.

I’VE SEEN FILMS 2008, in connection with the ‘Tiscali InShort’ initiative, provides the authors with a lengthier exposure to their works, which will be voted upon by an international audience.

The I’VE SEEN FILMS 2008 Award Evening will take place in Milan (Italy), in the huge and modern Skyline multiplex venue, comprised of a very large screening room with extremely comfortable tiers of seats, with a 20-meter (66 ft.) wide screen and with a state-of-the-art technical set-up that includes an International THX® Certified system.
