Celebrating its 16th edition next year, Hot Docs will present more than 150 films from April 30 to May 10, 2009.
Hot Docs retrospectives and national programs for 2009 will include:

* A showcase of films by celebrated Canadian filmmaker Alanis Obomsawin, the recipient of this year's Outstanding Achievement Award.

* Focus On Ron Mann, a retrospective highlighting the Toronto filmmaker's over 25 year career of exploring alternative and dissident cultures.

* Spotlight on the NFB at 70, a program of some of the finest NFB produced films of the past seven decades.

* Made In South Korea, featuring a selection of films that demonstrate the ever-growing success and veracity of this country's documentary film community.
