Highlights from Hybrid Ventana Sur 2021

Ventana Sur, the leading Latin American IP market organized by INCAA and Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes, will run from Nov 29 to Dec 3 in its new venue in the heart of Buenos Aires, the Centro Cultural Kirchner.

With more than 50% of the population vaccinated, the reopening of borders and the nation's successful health and safety protocols, which resulted in the Covid rate declining every day, Ventana Sur will give the long-awaited opportunities to producers and filmmakers from Argentina and Latin America to present in face to face more than 50 selected projects and works in progress to acquisition executives from platforms and sales companies as well as festival programmers.
After the 2020 edition which had to be held fully online, Ventana Sur will be hybrid this year.
Many of the onsite activities will be available online, as well as the distribution activities such as promotion, sales, and market screenings which will take place exclusively at Ventana Sur Online.
More than 200 international participants are expected this year in Buenos Aires. Registration is open and Early bird rate (40€) applies until Nov 1st, 2021.
Ventana Sur includes a wide variety of activities that cover the wide spectrum of the film and audiovisual sector (details below). These programs include presentation of projects, with pitching sessions, works in progress screenings, one to one meetings, conferences and panels (onsite and/or online).
In addition to the activities in Buenos Aires, the online platform of the market will offer about 100 screenings of Latinamerican and European films, virtual booths of sales companies and virtual pavilions of film promotion agencies. It will be accessible to registered buyers from around the world.
