HIFF37 presented by Halekulani takes place November 2-12 on Oahu and November 16-19 on Kauai and the Big Island of Hawaii!

We've just announced the full lineup for the 2017 edition, screening over 160 films from 45 countries ranging from major films and festival favorites from Sundance, Cannes, and Toronto; the best films from Asia and the Pacific Rim; an expanded section dedicated to indigenous Pacific filmmakers; a newly minted "Made in Hawaii" filmmaker competition, as well as special sidebars dedicated to the environment, culinary cinema, and midnight movies!

We open HIFF37 edition with the Hawaii premiere of the highly anticipated new animated film from Studio Ponoc, the new anime studio taking the mantle from Studio Ghibli with MARY AND THE WITCH'S FLOWER. Centerpiece Gala goes to the U.S. adaptation of the French hit THE INTOUCHABLES with THE UPSIDE starring Bryan Cranston, Kevin Hart and Nicole Kidman. Finally, we close the Festival with the world premiere of the 100% Hawaii homegrown production and definitive film on the origins of the 442nd with GO FOR BROKE: AN ORIGIN STORY
