Light from a torch sweeps the landscape at night. A neon figure appears. Among ruins, the overall hides a face behind its opaque visor. Complete protection, nothing comes through the outfit. This is the dress code of a new era.

Fribourg International Film Festival presents today both the poster of its next edition, which takes place from 18th to 27th March 2022, and the theme of its section Genre Cinema. The latter will focus on post-apocalyptic films – a topic which inspired the communication agency by the way studio for the creation of the poster.

After tomorrow

The Genre Cinema section will then be dedicated to the recent outbreak of post-apocalyptic films. As artistic director Thierry Jobin explains, this genre makes one question the state of the planet and the choices humanity makes. Rendezvous in March 2022 to explore those worlds of tomorrow.

A new identity

After five colourful years with the agency MiNT – previously called Asphalte Design – FIFF organised a competition to find a new corporate identity. Fribourg based communication agency by the way studio convinced the Festival team with a logo which places the cinema screen in its center while evoking all the events that surrounds it during the Festival.
