FEFF 22 reveals its poster!

24 April / 2 May 2020 – Udine – Teatro Nuovo & Visionario

FAR EAST FILM FESTIVAL,
a story of continual rebirth

Graphic designer Roberto Rosolin
creates the official image for FEFF 22

Press release for the 18th of February 2020
For immediate publication/release

UDINE – Being reborn. Each year. Resurfacing, making a mark, and then diving back in again and working silently until the following edition. Until the next rebirth. That, in a nutshell, is the story of the Far East Film Festival – an ongoing rebirth which has been underway, without interruption, since 1999. And now here's the official image of the twenty-second edition, once again created by graphic designer Roberto Rosolin, who translates this history into pure visual art, bringing together the poetic essence of a dream and the tangible experience of reality.

The always highly anticipated FEFF, which will be taking place in Udine from the 24th of April to the 2nd of May, has over time grown into a true island of film. An international oasis where cinema is shown and talked about and fills the air that you breathe - and, through the Focus Asia Industry section, is even realised and launched on the market. The 2020 edition will, among other things, see Far East in Progress, the first and only European platform dedicated to Asian films in post-production.

An exclusive, strategic vantage point over the cinema industry of the “Far East”, FEFF 22 will also welcome the finest Asian films of the last season, and its schedule will be packed with a dense calendar of side events located in the historic centre of Udine. The lineup this year includes a truly unmissable double homage: one to Filipino actor and director Eddie Garcia (the “Kirk Douglas” of South-East Asia) and one to the eccentric cinema of the Watanabe brothers: Hirobumi, director a là Jim Jarmusch e Yuji, wonderful music composer of all their films!

Roberto Rosolin was born in Gorizia in 1980. After completing his studies and starting his graphic design career in Friuli Venezia Giulia, he moved to London, where he now lives and works. He was the art director of historic London club Fabric and of his eponymous record label, whose output has been received enthusiastically by the international creative scene.
