The City of Montreal reaffirms its support to the World Film Festival for its 30th Anniversary in 2006

The City of Montreal through its Cultural Section has renewed its support of the Montreal World Film Festival to be held from August 24 to September 4, 2006. It would be impossible to organize an important international festival without the active cooperation of the City. We publish herewith the content of the letter dated October 13, 2005 and addressed to the President of the Festival:

“The City of Montreal has been supporting the World Film Festival through its Festivals and Cultural Events Support Program and contributes to its technical support for all its activities taking place in public places.

We shall be happy to renew our support for the forthcoming edition of your festival to be held from August 24 to September 4, 2006 et we express our most sincere wishes for the 30th anniversary of the Montreal World Film Festival.
“We welcome this expression of continuous support to the Festival and we thank the City’s authorities and Cultural services”, declared Serge Losique, President and General Manager of the Festival. And he added: “We shall duly celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the WFF with all the good willing people from here and abroad.”
