Start the night with a mouthwatering Argentinian asado from Roberto’s BBQ then settle in for the heart-warming film, Un Cine en Concreto (A Concrete Cinema), which follows the story of a man who loved the old cinema in his small town so much that when it was demolished he set about re-creating his own cinema in secret.

After the film, it’s time to Tango! Join us for a social milonga as the exceptional Trio Apasionado perform traditional tango music for all to enjoy!

Tonight's venue is the historic Queens Building in the heart of the city and tickets are available from eventbrite.

Exploring themes of human rights and migration, Cine Vivo - Perth Independent Latino American Film Festival presents the most relevant and pressing issues of our time, telling stories through all forms of art, letting us see the world through different eyes and experience culture from different perspectives.

While the screen component of this year’s festival will feature original stories from a diverse range of filmmakers, the festival will feature far more than just cinema: it will be a full cultural immersion and a delight for all the senses. Festival-goers will be able to experience the very best in Latin American film, dance, music and art on each night of the program, and Perth’s best local family restaurants will be serving up traditional, authentic feasts on each night of the festival.

  • Closing Night brings the celebrations for the first time to Burswood's Telethon Community Cinema with a tribute to Ruben Blades, more salsa and a mouthwatering Latin American BBQ.
