Celebrities Auction for the Toronto International Film Festival Group

The bright lights, pictures, and some of tinseltown’s most celebrated stars will be coming to Toronto for the International Film Festival this September, so why not join them? The Toronto International Film Festival Group, in partnership with Auctionwire, a premier auction production agency, will be presenting an array of unique and over-the-top auction experience packages, sure to be coveted by the famous but reserved only for the not so famous, beginning August 1st, 2008. Winning bidders will be sure to enjoy an indulgent and exclusive adventure behind the velvet ropes and who knows, maybe even come out a celebrity themselves?

This year’s auction packages range from frivolous to extravagant, with packages including items such as a 2-night stay and dinner reservations at the prestigious Fairmont Royal York, tickets to a gala presentation at Roy Thomson Hall, and chauffeur service. Or the package of every up-and-coming celebrity’s dream, an exclusive photo shoot by Wire Image at the Diesel photo suite where the lucky winner can show off their model behavior with a friend, afterwards, make your way over to the Roy Thomson Hall for an exclusive gala screening. TIFF’s film lovers package includes attendance to an exclusive, invite-only insider's event before the Festival kicks off where the winning bidder will have the opportunity to meet the TIFF programmers and discover the hidden gems at this years Festival as well as a goody bag filled with t-shirts, TIFF08 poster and TIFF08 programme book; also included in the package is the choice to select films using six pairs of tickets to any non-premium screening as well as two tickets to an exclusive TIFF party and two tickets to the closing night film at Elgin. The TIFFG year-round package includes TIFF08 t-shirts, poster and programme book, and a Cinematheque Dual Membership, which gives the winning bidder access to discounted tickets and advance tickets sales. Winners will also be able to enjoy a family outing to some films with 10 tickets to Sprockets, the Toronto International Film Festival for Children and a pass for two adults and two children to Sprockets Globetrotter series.

Not only is the star treatment going to be one to revel in, but the Toronto International Film Festival is also one of the most major events Toronto has to offer, allowing winning bidders to experience a memorable moment in history that will last them a lifetime. The charity auction benefits the Toronto International Film Festival Group in its endeavor to showcase a creative and cultural discovery through moving images, lights and sound.
