CAPRI HOLLYWOOD - International Film festival to honor the cast of My Week With Marilyn

The exceptional cast of My Week With Marilyn, directed by Simon Curtis, will accept top honors for a cast this New Year's Day with the 2011 Capri Ensemble Award. Curtis will accept the award along with several members of the cast.

Michelle Williams' striking portrayal as one of the world's most idolized and mysterious icons provides a center stone for her fellow castmates as they allow us a look into one particular week of Marilyn Monroe's life. Kenneth Branagh masterfully manifests Sir Laurence Olivier and his simultaneous frustration and enchantment with Monroe during the filming of The Prince and The Showgirl. Captivated by Monroe for reasons beyond what meets the public's eye, Eddie Redmayne stars as Colin Clark, the third assistant director on The Prince and The Showgirl whose diaries in which the film is based. Though their week together certainly carries an undeniable charge, Clark and Monroe find themselves navigating more complex emotional terrain than that of a typical love affair. Dame Judi Dench, Emma Watson, Dominic Cooper, Dougray Scott, Julia Ormond, Toby Jones and Zoë Wanamaker round out the luminous cast.
Capri, Hollywood - The International Film Festival 2011 will be directed by Pascal Vicedomini and produced by the Capri in the World Institute, The 16th Annual Event will be chaired by the poet of Italian music, Gino Paoli and the Italian-American actress Melissa Leo (Oscar winner in 2010 for The Fighter). The Capri's event will also feature a tribute to the legendary Grace Kelly, the late beloved Princess of Monaco and a tribute to the British choreographer and filmmaker Lindsay Kemp. As to social activities, Capri-Hollywood will host the International symposium against discrimination and racism  promoted in association with Unicef.
The event with the support of the General Directorate of Cinema of the Ministry of Culture, the Campania Region and the Chamber of Commerce of Naples, in cooperation with Hogan, Alitalia, Planter's and Eni. Thanks to the support of the City of Capri and the Municipality of Anacapri, the great celebration of International cinema will include many film premieres, a retrospective of the most remarkable films of the past season as well as the ceremonies for the awarding of the much sought-after Capri Awards that will go to actors, writers and filmmakers.
