Consequence of Sound has dropped their list of the "Top 100 Films of the 2010s." A decade marked by the distinct transition of film moving to the internet, the 2010s featured defining blockbuster hits like Mad Max: Fury Road and Inception, emotionally-captivating films like Moonlight, and unique thrillers like Hereditary, We Need to Talk about Kevin and Get Out. "Consequence of Sound picked one hell of a decade to get into film. The evolution of streaming, the rise of A24, horror's blockbuster renaissance, and Disney playing Pac Mac across intellectual property -- there are so many stories there," shares Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Consequence of Sound Michael Roffman. "I feel this list of 100 films contains threads of all those narratives, if not more, and if you feel obliged to check any of them out, you're going to experience some essential chapters of pop culture from this past decade. Historical context aside, this list also says everything you need to know about Consequence's relationship to the film medium. We grew up worshipping genre films, so it's only natural that we'd find ways to write about 'em. Well, we did, and the collection here is by hands down the best of the bunch released in the 2010s."
